588. Liability of the performing carrier and maintenance of insurance.

Pursuant to the Athens Convention as amended by the 2002 Protocol1, if the performance of the carriage2 or part thereof has been entrusted to a performing carrier3, the carrier nevertheless remains liable for the entire carriage according to the provisions of the Athens Convention4.
