The carrier is not liable for loss, damage or delay caused by:
(1) the wrongful act or neglect of the person making the claim1;
(2) the instructions of the claimant given otherwise than as the result of a wrongful act or neglect on the part of the carrier2;
(3) the inherent vice of the goods3; or
(4) circumstances which the carrier could not avoid and the consequences of which he was unable to prevent even with the utmost care4.
The burden of proving that the loss, damage or delay was so caused rests upon the carrier5. The carrier is not
