Compensation for delay is payable only in respect of registered luggage1 and vehicles2. In the case of delay in delivery of registered luggage the carrier3 must pay in respect of each whole period of 24 hours after delivery has been requested either compensation equal to the proved amount of the loss or damage suffered4 or, if the loss or damage suffered is not proved, liquidated damages5, although in each case the amount payable is subject to an upper limit6 and the period for which compensation is payable is subject to a maximum of 14 days7.
