122. Claims against actual and contracting carriers.

In relation to carriage performed by an actual carrier1, a claim for damages may be brought, at the claimant's option, against that carrier or against the contracting carrier2, or against both together or separately3. If the claim is brought against only one of those carriers, that carrier has the right to require the other to be joined in the proceedings, the procedure and effects being governed by the law of the court seised of the case
