In all cases where the CIV Rules and the CIM Rules apply1 any action2 in respect of liability, on whatever grounds, may be brought against the carrier3 only subject to the conditions and limitations laid down in those rules4. This includes any action brought against the servants and other persons for whom the carrier is5 liable6 and also covers actions against the servants or agents of substitute carriers7.
