34. Use of short-lived materials.

Until a day to be appointed, the provisions described below have effect1. Building regulations2 may provide that these provisions apply to any materials specified in the regulations as being materials that are, in the absence of special care, liable to rapid deterioration, or are otherwise unsuitable for use in the construction of permanent buildings3.

Where plans4 of a building are, in accordance with building regulations, deposited5 with a local authority6, and the plans show that it is proposed to construct7 a building of such materials, or to place or assemble on the site a building constructed of such materials, the
