Notwithstanding the fact that the Building Act 1984 exempts certain educational buildings and buildings of statutory undertakers1 from building regulations2, the following provisions are specifically applied to such buildings, Crown buildings and building work carried out or proposed to be carried out by Crown authorities by the Building Regulations 2010.
The provisions referred to above are those that relate to3:
(1) the power to dispense with or relax building regulations which do not apply to provisions relating to energy efficiency requirements4
