As from a day to be appointed, the following provisions have effect1. Breach of a duty imposed by building regulations2, so far as it causes damage3, is actionable, except in so far as the regulations provide otherwise4. As regards such a duty, building regulations may provide for a prescribed5 defence to be available in a claim6 for breach of that duty7.
