A person aggrieved1 by the giving of a notice to remove or alter work contravening building regulations2 may appeal3 to a magistrates' court4. On such an appeal the court must, if it determines that the local authority5 was entitled to give the notice, confirm the notice6, and in any other case, give the local authority a direction to withdraw the notice7.
