A person aggrieved1 by the giving of a notice to remove or alter work contravening building regulations2 may appeal3 to a magistrates' court4. On such an appeal the court must, if it determines that the local authority5 was entitled to give the notice, confirm the notice6, and in any other case, give the local authority a direction to withdraw the notice7. Such an appeal must be brought within 28 days of the giving of the notice8, or, in a case where the person to whom the notice was given gives to the local authority notice9 of his intention to
