The Architects Registration Board1 must appoint a person to be known as the Registrar of Architects2, and the period for which, and the terms on which, the Registrar is appointed are decided by the Board3. The Registrar has the functions provided by or by virtue of the Architects Act 1997 and any other functions which the Board directs4.
The Registrar must maintain the register of architects, in which there must be entered the name of every person entitled to be registered5. The register consists of two parts (known as Part 1 and Part 26) and there are different criteria for
