Ofcom1 may, if the requirements specified under heads (a) to (c) below2 are met, vary a national radio multiplex licence3 by extending the area in which the licensed service is required to be available4.
Also, if those requirements5, as well as the requirement that applies in the case of a local radio multiplex licence6, are met, Ofcom may vary a local radio multiplex licence by: (1) varying the frequency on which the licensed service is required to be provided; (2) reducing the area or locality in which the licensed service is required to be available; or (3) extending that area
