Ofcom1 may, if it thinks fit, publish criteria to be applied2 to the provision of childrens programmes3. Any condition so imposed:
(1) must relate only to the provision of childrens programmes on the licensed public service channel concerned;
(2) must take into account Ofcoms assessment of the provision of childrens programmes on all related services4.
Where criteria are published by Ofcom, the regulatory regime for every licensed public service channel includes the conditions that Ofcom consider appropriate for securing that the provision of childrens programmes meets the criteria5.
