175. Ofcom's role in approving and enforcing arrangements made by the Corporation about the carrying on of its activities.

It is the duty of Ofcom1 to give a notification under Schedule 9 of the Communications Act 20032 to the Channel 4 Television Corporation ('C4C')3 requiring C4C to submit proposals for arrangements to Ofcom in accordance with that Schedule for the relevant licence period4.

Where C4C has received such a notification, it must, within the period set out in the notification, submit proposals to Ofcom for the arrangements under which it is proposing to secure, so far as reasonably practicable, that all significant risks that its other activities will have an adverse effect on the carrying out, during the relevant
