Subject to the provisions of Part V of the Broadcasting Act 19961, it is the duty of Ofcom2 to consider and adjudicate on complaints which are made duly to it3 and which relate to:
(1) unjust or unfair treatment4 in programmes to which the provisions relating to avoidance of unjust or unfair treatment apply5; or
(2) to unwarranted infringement of privacy in, or in connection with the obtaining of material included in, such programmes6.
