347. Government requests for the BBC or the Welsh Authority to broadcast special announcements etc.

If it appears to him to be necessary or expedient to do so in connection with his functions as such, the Secretary of State1 or any other Minister of the Crown may at any time by notice require the Welsh Authority2 to broadcast3, at such times as may be specified in the notice, any announcement specified in the notice, with or without visual images of any picture, scene or object mentioned in the announcement; and it is the duty of the Authority to comply with the notice4. Where the Authority broadcasts any announcement in pursuance of such a notice,
