For the purposes of Part III of the Broadcasting Act 19901, 'additional service' means any service which consists in the sending of electronic signals2 for transmission by wireless telegraphy3 by means of the use of the spare capacity4 within the signals carrying any sound broadcasting service provided on a relevant frequency5.
