A person born in a British overseas territory1 on or after 1 January 19832 who is not a British overseas territories citizen3 by birth4 is entitled to be registered as a British overseas territories citizen if: (1) an application5 is made while he is a minor6 on the ground that his father or mother has become a British overseas territories citizen or has settled in a British overseas territory7; or (2) an application is made at any time after he attains the age of ten years
