A building owner1 must not exercise any right conferred on him by the Party Wall etc Act 1996 in such a manner or at such time as to cause unnecessary inconvenience2 to any adjoining owner3 or to any adjoining occupier4. Any works executed in pursuance of the Act must comply with statutory requirements5. They must be executed in accordance with such plans, sections and particulars as may be agreed between the owners or, in the event of dispute, determined in accordance with the statutory dispute resolution procedure6.
