The Secretary of State must maintain a register of matters relating to bankruptcies1, debt relief orders2 and individual voluntary arrangements3 called the 'individual insolvency register'4. The bankruptcy restrictions register5 and the debt relief restrictions register6 must also be maintained in accordance with the statutory provisions7. The registers must be available to be searched electronically by members of the public at any time unless there is malfunction or error in the electronic operation of the registers
