The Secretary of State has power by order to contract out any function of the official receiver1.
Any function of the official receiver which is conferred by or under the insolvency legislation2 may be exercised by, or by employees of, such person, if any, as may be authorised in that behalf by the official receiver, except for the following functions3:
(1) the functions of the official receiver as interim receiver4;
(2) the receipt of any deposit which relates to a bankruptcy application or bankruptcy petition5;
(3) the making of an application to the Secretary of State for the appointment6 of
