The contract of pawn1 is extinguished by the satisfaction of the debt or engagement and the redelivery of the property pledged to the pawnor, since there is an implied undertaking on the pawnee's part to redeliver the property to the pawnor on payment by the pawnor of the sum advanced with interest2.
