Upon observing or receiving any of the signals given by the Standardised European Rules of the Air Regulation1, aircraft must take such action as may be required by the interpretation of such a signal2. It is unlawful for a person in an aircraft or on an aerodrome or at any place at which an aircraft is taking off or landing to make any signal which may be confused with a signal specified in the Standardised European Rules of the Air Regulation
