Immediately after the Secretary of State1 has given a direction2 by virtue of an order made to exercise control over land3, the person in respect of whom the order was made or, where the order was made in respect of Eurocontrol4, the Secretary of State must publish in one or more newspapers circulating in the locality a notice stating that the direction has been given5.
