The operator1 of an aircraft registered in the United Kingdom2 and flying for the purpose of the public transport3 of passengers must not cause or permit baggage to be carried in the passenger compartment of the aircraft unless it can be properly secured4. Where the aircraft can seat more than 30 passengers, such baggage must not exceed the capacity of the spaces provided for stowing baggage as approved by the Civil Aviation Authority ('CAA')5.
