The operator1 of an aircraft registered in the United Kingdom2 must not cause or permit it to be loaded for a public transport flight3, except under the following provisions4. The aircraft may only be loaded under the supervision of a person whom the operator has caused to be supplied with written instructions as to the distribution and securing of the load ('the loading instructions') so as to ensure that the load may safely be carried on the flight and any conditions of the certificate of airworthiness or flight manual
