1277.     Operation of radio in aircraft.

The radio station in a non-EASA aircraft1 must not be operated so as to cause interference which impairs the efficiency of aeronautical telecommunications or navigational services2.

An EASA aircraft3 operated as a controlled flight must maintain continuous air-ground voice communication watch on the appropriate communication channel of, and establish two-way communication as necessary with, the appropriate air traffic control unit4.
