The United Kingdom is a party to, and has given effect to, a number of international conventions dealing with crimes against the safety of aviation. These include the Convention on Offences and certain other Acts Committed on board Aircraft1, the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Seizure of Aircraft2, the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation3 and the Protocol for the suppression of unlawful acts of violence at airports serving international aviation4.
