The Civil Aviation Authority ('CAA')1 may cause such inspections, investigations, tests, experiments and flight trials to be made as it deems necessary2; and any person authorised in writing by the CAA may at any reasonable time inspect any part of, or material intended to be incorporated or used in the manufacture of any part of, an aircraft or its equipment or any document relating to it, and may for that purpose go upon any aerodrome
