Subject to the following, the regulator1 may grant a licence under the Space Industry Act 2018 if the regulator thinks fit2. The regulator may grant a licence only if satisfied that doing so (1) will not impair the national security of the United Kingdom; (2) is consistent with the international obligations of the United Kingdom; (3) is not contrary to the national interest3.
