Where an authorised person1 believes that a person has failed to comply with any general requirement2 of a direction given to him under the Aviation Security Act 1982, 3he may serve on that person an enforcement notice specifying those requirements which have not been complied with and the measures that ought to be taken to remedy the situation4.
The enforcement notice may specify in greater detail the measures which were only described in general terms in the direction5. It may be framed so as to give a choice between different ways of complying with the specified general requirements6.
