Before granting a licence to act as a member of a flight crew1 of a non-EASA aircraft2 registered in the United Kingdom3, the Civil Aviation Authority ('CAA')4 or a person approved by the CAA must be satisfied that the applicant is a fit person to hold the licence and is qualified by reason of his knowledge, experience, competence, skill, physical and mental fitness to act in the capacity to which the licence relates5. For this purpose the applicant must supply such evidence and undergo such examinations and tests, including in particular medical assessments and examinations
