Any person having an interest in land the value of which is diminished in consequence of the coming into operation of a direction1 given by virtue of an order made to exercise control over land2 is entitled to compensation from the person in respect of whom the order was made or, where the order was made in respect of Eurocontrol3, the Secretary of State4. Any person who sustains damage by being disturbed in the enjoyment of any right in or over land is also entitled to recover compensation, even though the damage does not consist in the diminution in
