Except as otherwise provided1, nothing in the Air Navigation Order 20162 applies to or in relation to any military aircraft3.Where, however, a military aircraft is flown by a civilian pilot and is not commanded by a person who is acting in the course of his duty as a member of any of Her Majesty's naval, military or air forces or as a member of a visiting force4 or international headquarters5, certain of the safety provisions of the Air Navigation Order 2016 must be complied with6.
