The Civil Aviation Authority ('CAA')1 must provide such advice and assistance to the Secretary of State2 as the Secretary of State requires in connection with matters relevant for the protection against acts of violence of aircraft, aerodromes and air navigation installations3. Such a requirement may be expressed so as to operate as a continuing requirement on the CAA4.
The CAA must provide such advice and assistance to the following persons as it considers appropriate having regard to the protection against acts of violence of aircraft, aerodromes and air navigation installations5:
(1) managers of aerodromes6 in the United Kingdom7;
