All the women's services administered by the Defence Council1 are part of the armed forces of the Crown, and the relevant statutes are adapted as necessary to complete the assimilation of these services with the forces in or with which their members serve2. The Armed Forces Act 2006 applies to all those subject to service law3, and the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 requiring equal treatment for men and women in the same employment4 apply to service by a woman in any of the armed forces as
