335. The reserve forces.

The expression 'reserve forces' means the Regular Reserve and the Army Reserve ('the reserve land forces')1, the Royal Fleet Reserve, the Royal Naval Reserve and the Royal Marines Reserve ('the reserve naval and marine forces')2, and the Air Force Reserve and the Royal Auxiliary Air Force ('the reserve air forces')3. Each force consists of officers and men4. Parliament must authorise a maximum number of officers and a maximum number of men for each of the reserve forces and the numbers of officers and men of a reserve force must not exceed the numbers for the time being authorised for
