Where a call-out order1 is in force, the Secretary of State2 may by order suspend the operation of any of the statutory provisions3 enabling the making of payments and awards to reservists and employers4. Where a recall order5 is in force, the Secretary of State may by order suspend the operation of the provisions relating to the payment of reservist's awards, expenses and pension payments and employer's awards6 (but not the provisions7 relating to employer's and partner's payments)8.
