582. Referral by the Commission.

Where a person has been convicted by the Court Martial1 (including on an appeal brought from the Service Civilian Court2), the Criminal Cases Review Commission3: (1) may at any time refer the conviction to the Court Martial Appeal Court ('the Appeal Court')4; and (2) (whether or not they refer the conviction) may at any time refer to the Appeal Court any sentence (other than one fixed by law) imposed by the Court Martial on, or in subsequent proceedings relating to, the conviction5.
