Where a charge is allocated for Court Martial1 trial2, the Director of Service Prosecutions3 must, as soon as is practicable serve advance information4 in relation to all defendants5 on the court administration officer6, and serve advance information in relation to each defendant on that defendant, and that defendant's legal representative (if any)7. On receipt of the advance information in relation to a charge, the court administration officer must: (1) forward it to the Judge Advocate General8 and request him to specify a judge advocate for preliminary proceedings9 in relation to the charge; and (2) appoint a time and place for the commencement of the preliminary proceedings10.
