The Court Martial has jurisdiction to try any service offence1, that is, any offence contrary to the provisions of the Armed Forces Act 2006, 2including criminal offences which would be punishable by the law of England and Wales if done there3, may be tried in the Court Martial, whether the offence was committed in the United Kingdom4 or elsewhere5.
