436. Duties of commanding officers.

If an officer1 becomes aware of an allegation or circumstances which would indicate to a reasonable person that a service offence of a prescribed description2 has or may have been committed by a person whose commanding officer3 that officer is, he must as soon as is reasonably practicable ensure that a service police force4 is aware of the matter5. If an officer of a prescribed description6 becomes aware of circumstances of a prescribed description7, he must as soon as is reasonably practicable ensure that a service police force is aware of the matter
