The procedure for bringing a charge1 against a person is as follows: (1) a charge sheet must be prepared, in the prescribed form2; (2) the commanding officer of that person must sign the charge sheet3; and (3) a copy of the signed charge sheet must be served by hand on that person either by the commanding officer or by a person authorised by him4. When a charge is brought at his direction, the Director of Service Prosecutions must provide a copy of the charge sheet to the court administration officer
