209. Authority for, and composition of, the air forces.

By statute, the Crown may raise and maintain an air force consisting of such numbers of personnel1 as may from time to time be provided by Parliament, and may make orders with respect to all matters relating to the air force2, although many of the provisions as to such matters, in particular those concerning enlistment and terms of service and discipline, are now contained as respects the regular air force in the Armed Forces Act 20063.
