A civilian may be subject to service discipline if he is not subject to service law1 and falls within the prescribed categories2. Such civilians can be charged with only the following offences under service law:
(2) contravention of standing orders4;
(3) obstructing or failing to assist a service policeman5;
(4) resisting arrest6;
(5) offences in relation to service custody involving escape or the use of violence7;
(6) criminal conduct8;
(7) failing to attend a hearing after release from custody
