The Secretary of State1 may award additional benefit for a qualifying injury2 and in respect of a death3 in accordance with the provisions of the post-2005 scheme4. Additional benefits payable for a qualifying injury are:
(1) a further lump sum benefit5;
(2) an additional guaranteed income payment6; and
(3) a guaranteed income payment for a specified injury7.
Additional benefits payable in respect of death are:
(a) an additional survivor's guaranteed income payment8;
(b) an additional child's payment9; and
(c) an additional bereavement grant10.
The tariff level11 for a qualifying injury which is not a specified injury is the tariff level determined
