161.     Meanings of 'enemy subject' and 'enemy territory'.

'Enemy subject' means1 an individual who, not having British nationality2, possesses the nationality of a state at war with the Crown3, or a body of persons constituted in or incorporated under the laws of any such state4. 'Enemy territory' means any area which is under the sovereignty of, or in the occupation of, a power with whom the Crown is at war, not being an area in the occupation of the Crown or an allied power5.
