An arbitration claim1 under the Arbitration Act 1996, 2other than an application to stay legal proceedings3, must be started in accordance with the High Court and County Courts (Allocation of Arbitration Proceedings) Order 19964. An arbitration claim is started by the issue of an arbitration claim form5 in accordance with the Part 8 procedure6 of the Civil Procedure Rules7, unless it is an application to stay legal proceedings8 which is made by application notice to the court dealing with those proceedings9.
An arbitration claim form may be issued out of10:
(1) the Admiralty and Commercial Registry at the Royal Courts
