588. Foreign awards.

The provisions of Part II of the Arbitration Act 19501 apply to any award made after 28 July 19242:


    (1)     where the award is made in pursuance of an arbitration agreement to which the Protocol on Arbitration Clauses (1923) applies3; and


    (2)     where the arbitration agreement is made between persons one of whom is subject to the jurisdiction of a state party to the Geneva Convention (1927)4, and the other of whom is a person subject to the jurisdiction of some other such state5; and


    (3)     where the arbitration agreement was made in a territory to which the Geneva
