Arbitration claims are allocated to the multi-track case management track1, but the provisions of Part 29 of the Civil Procedure Rules2, which contain general provisions about management of cases allocated to the multi-track and apply only to cases allocated to that track3, do not apply to arbitration claims4. The provisions of Part 62 of the Civil Procedure Rules5 contain rules about arbitration claims6. There are extensive automatic directions which apply unless the court orders to the contrary7.
