329.     Sale of wild birds and their eggs.

Except when authorised under a licence granted by the appropriate authority1, it is an offence for any person:

(1)     to sell, offer or expose for sale or have in his possession, or transport for the purpose of sale, any live wild bird other than a bird included in Part I of Schedule 3 to the Wildlife and Countryside Act 19812, or an egg of a wild bird or any part of such an egg; or

(2)     to publish or cause to be published any advertisement likely to be understood as conveying
